Sustainable Tropical Data Center Testbed (STDCT)
Background
The Sustainable Tropical Data Center Testbed is a pioneering initiative led by NUS Agricultural Translational Research Centre, aimed at advancing high-density agriculture and sustainable technologies at industrial scale. The project also serves as a research hub for academia and industry to co-develop energy-efficient and environmentally friendly data center solutions tailored for tropical climates.
Project Highlights
AlfaTech Asia designed and built a state-of-the-art testbed equipped with Point Liquid Cooling (SPLC) systems, making it one of the most advanced energy- and water-efficient facilities globally. The project included:
Full integration of structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Installation of Building Management Systems (BMS) and advanced security systems.
Implementation of SPLC technology to pioneer sustainable cooling solutions for data centers in tropical climates.
Creation of a collaborative innovation hub where researchers and industry partners can develop and test energy-efficient cooling technologies.
