NUS Agri-Tech Centre
Background
AlfaTech Asia was responsible for the turnkey design and build of the NUS Agricultural Translational Research Centre, a facility developed to advance high-density agriculture from innovation to industrial application.
Project Highlights
The facility was designed to support advanced agricultural research and development through a highly specialized environment. The office features an expansive reception area with a green feature wall to welcome visitors and create a biophilic impression.
Five Grow Zones were constructed with independent control over climate, fertigation recipes, and lighting spectrum, enabling high-throughput phenotyping, recipe development, and process refinement. Two state-of-the-art Precision Climate Zones were integrated, capable of maintaining temperatures from 10°C to 40°C for controlled experimentation.
The facility also includes an interpretive corridor designed to inspire, educate, and engage visitors, serving as both a research hub and an adjunct space for scientists and farmers to carry out their work.
